CeilidhKids at the Fringe - FREE!

Family workshop suitable for children aged 3-7 years with parents or carers, but everyone welcome.

We involve everyone: skip, clap and march together to traditional Scottish music. Enjoy discovering very simple (often simplified) dances that you might find at a ceilidh or Scottish country dance, celebrating the social aspects of dancing with a partner.

CeilidhKids is all about fun for all generations. Hugely popular with local families, now it's your turn. Bring Mum or Dad along to partner you under the chandeliers! One adult can dance with two children.

Back in 2021 for two sessions only!

This year numbers are strictly limited and you are highly recommended to book your place in advance. Email Caroline at ceilidhkids@ceilidhkids.com to pre-book your family dancing fun. If you just turn up on the day you might get in, but the session is more likely to be full. Although the ballroom will not be as crowded as in previous years, you will still be dancing in fairly close proximity to other people; attendance is at your own risk. Wearing of face-coverings is at your discretion.

Pay What You Want: This Year our shows In venues are ticketed, so you should book a ticket to guarantee entry - this is because of restricted capacities, COVID restrictions and so we can keep you as safe as possible. Pay What You Want means you donate to a show in advanced for this ticket and you know you can Get in. You can still turn up at the venue For free, and donate at the end of the show - but we are reccomending getting tickets this year to make sure you can get in.
