Ryan Mold: Resistant

Ryan Mold: Resistant

In my new stand-up show Resistant, I take a funny, honest look at what happens when life changes faster than I can keep up. From technology that confuses me, to government rules that make no sense, to the creeping reality of getting older — it all feels a bit harder than it used to.

I’ll be sharing my frustrations with self-checkouts that think I’m stealing, apps that constantly need updating, and politicians insisting everything’s fine while the rest of us are just trying to survive the week. I’m baffled by cashless pubs, arguing with voice assistants, and clinging to the days before everything needed a password.

But Resistant isn’t just a rant. It’s about trying to find your place in a world that won’t stop changing, and laughing about it along the way. My knees click, my patience for influencers has gone, and apparently my phone is “retro.”

If you’ve ever felt left behind by technology, confused by modern life, or just tired of being told to “embrace the future,” this show is for you.

Join me for a night of relatable, warm, and sharply funny stand-up about surviving the madness of modern times — one reluctant update at a time.
